Available Payment Options

The system creates a 'AAA' rating for all new customers.  All payment options that your handyman accepts are available to you.  Payment options available to you after this will depend on your past payment history. The system creates a rating after feedback is given to the booking office on how timely you were with payment for your previous jobs.

Residential Customers (non-business/Commercial)

AAA

The handymen like working for YOU !. :)

As you are a great payer all payment methods that your handyman accepts are available to you.  During busy times handymen will put you at the top of the queue as they appreciate your timely payments

A

You are an existing customer and you have been slightly late in the recent past with a payment which has required the booking office or the handyman to contact you for payment.  This was most likely an oversight on your part and has been highlighted as a late payment as oppose to a bad debt.

You are seen as a good payer and as such all payment methods that your handyman accepts are available to you.

B

You are an existing customer and you have been very late with a payment in the past or you have had to have more than one request for payment made to you via phone or email to receive the outstanding payment.

All payment methods that your handyman accepts are available to you with the exception of Cheque and BACS.  This will always include cash payments and may include card payments if your handyman accepts this.  Payment will need to be taken at the end of the visit.

You are an existing customer and have had at least one very late payment that has been difficult to recover. The handymen are still able to offer you a service on the following terms.  There will be a limited pool of handymen that will be available to you.

  • Your job will be estimated in value by the information you provide by phone, email or a site visit.
  • Once the value of your job has been estimated including labour, materials and any parking charges an estimated total value will be given to you.
  • This estimated total value plus an additional 30% needs to be paid to the handyman before the job takes place.
  • Once the job has taken place and 7 days have passed the remaining money will be transferred to you via BACS

Commercial / Business Customers

Overall the same as the above but its quite possible that you have fractionally longer payment terms to allow for internal processing.

How to Keep Your High Rating

Quite simply just pay your bill in a timely manner this can be :-

At the end of a job - by any payment method accepted by your handyman

If BACS payment was an option available to you - within 48 hours of the invoice date and arrival time.

Why Keep a High Rating ?

Rapid payments keep your handyman happy and in business.

Some handymen will only work for people with the highest rating - this will give you access to the largest available selection of handymen

During busy times faster bill payers will receive priority over late payers

Payment within the payment terms will enable you to keep the fast payment discount on your bill.

Why Do You Have a Rating System in Place ?

All of the handymen want to offer a reliable service to reliable people who appreciate and value their service. Some people are consistently late payers which is an administrative burden, if left, the cost of this administration would be reflected in, everyone's prices which just didn't seem fair.
